Summer fun

We went hiking last week after everyone was feeling better. We hiked our favorite trail up in East Layton where we used to live. I really want to move back there. I love it. Saige hiked all by herself, she did awesome. I hiked with Kade on my back and he didn't mind it at all. Some of my favorite memories of Saige are of hiking. That is where she learned her abc's, loved to look for horse poop for some reason and how to go "pee pee on the rocks." Circe is so at home up there. She pushed herself too hard though. I looked back at her and she was taking these tiny little steps and looked all stiff so I carried her for a while. I wish we could afford a house up there. It is one of my dreams. Maybe someday...
We *finally* went to Jordanelle with my in-laws yesterday. It has been so long since we've been there. My wetsuit from 2 years ago still has the tags on it. Saige was scared, telling us that she was afraid she was going to fall off. Once we got her out there, she wouldn't get off! I took Kade out for a little ride going about 5 miles an hour and he kept squealing and trying to push buttons. I'm all sore and sunburned today, but we had lots of fun. I need to go out again and use my wakeboard that is collecting dust.

HOA

We had to repaint our door and shutters today because they were the "wrong color" of red. Our home was originally a Hamlet home and apparently there is a Hamlet Red color of paint. We found this out this week when we got a notice in the mail telling us we had to repaint or they would send someone to do it and give us the bill. What a pain.
Chris and I ended up with the flu bug on Tuesday. For some reason, it hit me harder than everyone else. I could barely move for 2 days. I'm still having problems. Our anniversary didn't start out very good, but ended well. The kids were feeling better, so we took them to my mom's and went to see Get Smart and out to dinner. It was a really funny movie, I liked it.
We also ended up back at the dr's office for Saige yesterday. With everything she has had in the last 2 weeks, he wants us to do some tests to make sure everything is working right. She is becoming a pro and peeing in a cup...lol.

Someone shoot me

We were supposed to go to Jordanelle reservoir today to go camping. Saige woke up having problems again, so we took her to the instacare. She has another bladder infection. We got her meds, gave them to her, went home, packed and headed out. We got a block away from Chris's moms house and she starts throwing up. We drive to her house, get Saige cleaned up, and while I'm cleaning her car seat, Kade starts throwing up. We came back home and now they won't keep anything down. Kade won't even keep down breastmilk. This sucks. Our anniversary is tomorrow too. Blah

Growing up

I put Kade's crib in his room yesterday and I put him to sleep there last night. He crawled around and helped me set it up. I had Saige sleep in with us just in case he cried a lot and then I could take her bed. I didn't have to do that because he slept for 8 hours!! He has never done that before. He is a big boy now :)

Now poor Saige

I won't go into details but Saige has had some problems since she was little. We went to Vegas over the weekend and I think it made things worse. We ended up taking her to the dr on Wednesday because she was in a lot of pain. He asked for a urine sample, so Saige and I went to the bathroom at the end of the hall. I told her what she needed to do and she started to cry. We sat there for almost a half hour while she screamed things like "I've never done this before," "I can't do this" and "It hurts." Nothing I said would make her feel better, it was awful. Chris said he could hear her in the exam room at the end of the hall. We decided to take a break, the dr did an exam and he was talking about putting a catheter in to get urine. When he left for a second, I told Saige that he was going to put something in her bum to get the urine out if she didn't go on her own. She decided to try again and went. What a relief...
She has an infection, so she is on meds for that and we're doing a diet change and long term supplement that will last 3-6 months so we can get her body back to normal. I really hope this works, I feel awful watching her go through this. I've done a ton of laundry because she keeps having accidents. She holds it because it hurts to go. I keep telling her that I have had this before and I know how bad it hurts. She is so funny, she came out of the bathroom yesterday and yelled to me downstairs that it finally didn't hurt.

Swimming and The Naked Boy

We took the kids to the aquatic center last night with some of our neighbors. They have a girl Saige's age and a little boy Kade's age. He fell asleep in his float. It was pretty fun. The kids loved it. Here are a couple of pics.

Kader has learned how to take his diaper off. He thinks it's the greatest thing and starts laughing as soon as he successfully removes it...Thank goodness for pants :)

Baby Weight

It's amazing how much losing 10 lbs does to your self esteem. Last year, none of my clothes fit and I just felt yucky. This year, I'm wearing clothes I haven't seen in 2 years and I can wear a swim suit again without wanting to hide. It feels good.
